Swedish Massage is the style that comes to mind when most people think about massages. It was developed in Stockholm a couple of centuries ago and is the most common and best-known form of bodywork performed today.
The goal is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of the blood returning to the heart. Additional techniques include circular pressure applied by the hands and palms, while kneading, using percussion-like tapping, bend and stretching.
Swedish masage is exceptional for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

Relaxation Massage was designed to do just that, relax your entire body. Your therapist will use long mild strokes along the superficial layers of muscle to ease you into a more peaceful state.
Allow our calm music and candle lit rooms to help you relax and unwind. We use oils infused with esential oils to encourage clients to let go and sink into this massage.
Relaxation massage lowers blood pressure, increases circulation, removes toxins from blood and assists the lymphatic system. This technique is great for our senior clients and children.

Hot Stone Therapy melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness and increases circulation and the metabolism. Each 60 minute Hot Stone session features the placement of smooth, water heated stones at key points on the body to allow for deeper relaxation of the muscles.
Our professional massage therapists then incorporated a customized massage, with the use of stones, to create a healing and relaxing experience.
Hot Stone Therapy is ideal for:
Hot Stone Therapy is able to reach the deeper muscles without the added pressure.

Deep Tissue Massage uses a deeper pressure to target knots and release chronic muscle tension. Other benefits include reducing inflammation and helping to eliminate scar tissue. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).
Deep tissue massage uses strokes across the grain of the muscles, not with the grain as in Swedish massage. Your therapist may use their thumbs, fists or sorearms to apply the right amount of pressure your muscles need.

When you inhale essential oils, messages are transmitted to the limbic system and affect the heart rate, stress levels, blood pressure, breathing, memory, digestion and the immune system. Essential oils are also believed to be absorbed through the skin with different healing properties.
For example, some calm, while others energize. After selecting the oil that will help achieve your desired goal: relaxation, tension relief, anxiety reduction or focus. Your therapist will warm the oils allowing it's aroma to fill the room. We will also use them on the skin for added intensity.

When receiving a prenatal massage, you will be gently positioned on your side to keep you comfortable while your therapists massages your back. Throughout each session, our therapists will use pillows to ensure comfort and proper positioning.
It is very important you obtain approval from your obstetrician before receiving any form of massage during pregnancy. Women with normal, low-risk pregnancies can benefit greatly from massage therapy. However, women in high-risk pregnancies should consult with their doctor or midwife before beginning one of our massage therapy programs. If at any time during the massage you experience discomfort, tell your therapist immediately.
